After all the establishment candidates have been exposed as serial adulterers, idiots that can barely string together a coherent sentence, or phonies that are virtually identical to Obama in their prior stances and votes on major issues, it's becoming clear to many that the only candidate with any integrity is Ron Paul.
Paul is now surging in the polls in Iowa, and only Newt Gingrich has come out ahead in the latest. Gingrich has a long history as a leftist globalist that once exposed in detail should likely scare off any potential conservatives.
Romney is just behind Paul, but his history against the Second Amendment, his past pro abortion positions, AND his institution of a mandatory health care bill that is basically identical to Obamacare are working against him.
Despite the fact that the media has refused to hype and glorify Ron Paul the way it has the other candidates, despite the fact that they have virtually ignored him, despite the fact that he recieves no support from the bankers and billion dollar corporations, Paul now has a legitimate chance of winning Iowa. And the establishment is shaking in their boots. So let's compare the top three candidates.
Some facts on Ron Paul:
He has never voted to raise taxes.
He predicted the 2007 housing crash in 2002. Everyone laughed.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted to raise his own salary.
He has never taken a government-paid benefit like Newt's $1.3 million.
He has never used insider trading info to profit while in office.(Pelosi, Boehner)
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.
He does not participate in the lucrative congressional retirement program.
He returns a portion of his annual budget to the U.S. treasury every year.
When elected as President he will cut his salary by 90% to $40,000 a year.
As a congressman, Ron Paul never once voted for any piece of legislation that would infringe on gun owners’ rights or weaken the Second Amendment.
The inalienable right to keep and bear arms is not only essential to a free society, but it is the guardian of every other right.
During his time in Congress, Paul has worked tirelessly to restore the Second Amendment rights of all Americans by:
* Introducing legislation to repeal the “Brady Bill” and the so-called “Assault Weapons Ban.”
* Authoring legislation to end U.S. membership in the anti-gun United Nations to ensure American tax dollars are not used to fund global gun control schemes like the so-called “Small Arms Treaty.”
* Writing a bill that would allow pilots and specially trained law enforcement personnel to carry firearms in order to protect airline passengers and help prevent future 9/11-style attacks.
Ron Paul is stongly pro-life and will fight for the same pro-life solutions he upheld in Congress, including immediately saving lives by effectively repealing Roe v. Wade and preventing activist judges from interfering with state decisions on life by removing abortion from federal court jurisdiction through legislation modeled after his “We the People Act.” He will also define life as beginning at conception by passing a “Sanctity of Life Act", and will also protect the American people’s freedom of conscience by working to prohibit taxpayer funds from being used for abortions, Planned Parenthood, or any other so-called “family planning” program.
Some facts on Newt Gingrich:
He has said that he "strongly supports a federal mandate requiring citizens to buy health insurance"
Georgia Gun Owners, a grassroots gun rights group from his home state, is now blasting Gingrich for "his more than two-decade history of supporting gun control."
Newt Gingrich is an avid advocate of imposing government policies on the people to help out with the “threat” global warming poses to humanity. In the past, Mr. Gingrich even taped a Public Service Announcement with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, calling on everyone to submit to the demands a group of mad scientists and bureaucrats, who want to pass laws to to tax us to death to combat the widely debunked global warming myth.
Gingrich went out of his way to get 50 members of Congress to endorse Dr. Paul’s opponent in the Texas primary. Even former president George H.W. Bush campaigned for Dr. Paul’s opponent at Gingrich’s request. Why would the supposed leader of the conservative movement work to keep one of the Constitution’s most stalwart defenders away from Washington, D.C.?
And Gingrich is supposed to be a conservative? How?
Some facts on Mitt Romney:
As you may know, Mitt Romney as governor of Massachusetts instituted a mandatory health care bill that is basically identical to the obamanation of Obamacare that was forced down our throats. But that is only the beginning of his blatant betrayal of anything that a true conservative would care about.
Massachusetts is one of the farthest left states in the nation, and has some of the strictest gun control laws in America. Romney did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to change these while he was governor. As a matter of fact Mitt Romney said in a gubernatorial debate on Sept. 24th, 2002 that "We do have tough gun laws in Massachusetts, I support them...I believe they help protect us, and provide for our safety." As far as I know most conservatives value their Second Amendment rights, and having Romney in the White House should be of no comfort to them.
Romney was also notoriously friendly to pro-homosexual groups. When Romney ran unsuccessfully against Ted Kennedy for Senate in 1994, a homosexual group calling themselves the Log Cabin Republicans asked him to promise he would work for full equality for gays and lesbians. He gave them that promise. In 2002, when he ran for governor, he did the same thing. He actually bragged about his many meetings with the gay Republicans. He would meet them in a gay bar in Boston. He gave multiple interviews to the homosexual newspaper in Boston. Even in 2007 and 2008, his campaign was saying Mitt Romney has always been for gay rights.
As for other social issues like abortion, Romney while running for office in Massachusetts was conveniently pro-abortion. However, after he decided to become a national candidate, he miraculously had what he called an "epiphany", and became pro-life. Obviously he realized that his left wing positions would never appeal to the more conservative national audience and decided this was one step he could take to convince the gullable. And Romney is supposed to be a conservative? How?
If you want Obamacare, endless pointless wars, to lose your constitutional rights, and a continuation of the globalist agenda, Mitt Romney or a Newt Gingrich is the one for you.
I'll be voting for an honest man who fights for freedom rather than against it.
