MCDONALDS WORKER ATTACKED, ARRESTED FOR DEFENDING SELF

Exactly when did defending oneself from an attacker become a crime? That's the question Rayon McIntosh, Jr. Must be asking himself today.
McIntosh was a cashier at a McDonald’s in Greenwich Village, where two women handed him what looked like a phony $50 bill last week. An altercation ensued. A video of the incident shows one of the women slapping McIntosh. Seconds later the other woman jumped the counter while the first walked around behind the counter to where McIntosh was.
McIntosh swung into action. Grabbing hold of a metal rod he kept in the back of the store, he came out to the front while the women kept coming after him. He started swinging at the two attacking women. One ended up with a fractured skull and a broken arm. The other was treated for a deep laceration.
All three combatants were arrested. The women were charged with menacing, disorderly conduct, and trespassing. McIntosh was charged with two counts of felony assault and criminal possession of a weapon. He also lost his job.
McIntosh, according to the New York Post, has become a hero among those who look at this incident rationally. The Post reported that a Rayon McIntosh Defense Fund has been set up on Facebook and that other cyber-support pages have followed suit.
Unfortunately, the police don't see it that way. While it's should be clear to anyone in their right mind that McIntosh was fully justified and that these women deserved what happened to them, the "justice" system, much like politicians who favor gun control, want to castrate the population and prosecute anyone who exercises their God-given right to self defense.
When police are trained to use a gun, they are trained to shoot in such a way as to where the attacker stays on the ground. The situation that McIntosh was in clearly justified his actions. He had a customer who had struck him and then jumped the counter to get at him, while another was coming up from the other side. How could he be sure they weren't carrying a gun?
McIntosh was completely in the right here, and the police should be ashamed of themselves for bringing charges against him.
